Ospedaletti - The Italian Seaside Town You've Probably Never Heard Of
The French Riviera gets plenty of press. But what feels a bit more unknown is the Italian side, often called the Ligurian coast. Here you'll find fewer tourists, affordable food and drink, and just-as-stunning vistas. The seaside town of Ospedaletti, located about an hour over the French border with a population of just over 3,000 people, is about as much of a hidden gem as you can get. #ShermansTravel #TravelBucketlist #ItalyTravel #ItalianRiviera #TravelInspo #OfftheBeatenPath

In Search of the Clooneys on Lake Como | ShermansTravel
Casually mention that you’re traveling to Lake Como for a work-related trip and someone will inevitable mention the Clooneys. Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past decade or don’t horde US Weekly magazines, you’d know that George and Amal own a summer home here. I flew into Milan and made the one-hour drive to Lake Como. It’s no secret when you arrive. Everything feels fancier. It drips in wealth. It’s fit for royalty and celebrities — but accessible to the commoner like myself.

Near Portofino, A Cliffside Walk, a Swim in Blue Seas, and a Classic Lunch | ShermansTravel
When it comes to European summer and early-autumn hideaways, there are few destinations more glamorous than Portofino. A sliver of a town cut into a rocky hillside, Portofino has few major sights. Besides the stunning sea views and the dreamy lineup of pastel-stuccoed structures that overlook the water, the only things to see here are the Prada- and Gucci-clad throngs streaming off their yachts, and the bottom of the glass holding your 17-euro Aperol spritz.

What to Do in Venice, Italy | ShermansTravel
Dreamy, romantic Venice with its canals and narrow alleyways is an easy city to navigate. Know that you will not be taking any kind of transport on wheels: this is a city of 100 small islands in the Adriatic Sea where there are no roads and water taxis are your friend.

Review: Grand Hotel Minerva in Florence
Florence is a jewel-box of Renaissance treasures surrounded by a ring of picturesque Tuscan hill towns. The Duomo is a pink, white, and green masterpiece; climb to the top of the bell tower for a magnificent view. Michelangelo’s marble statue of the biblical hero David is sure to impress. The Uffizi Gallery is home to a fabulous art collection. The cultural immersion continues when you enter Grand Hotel Minerva. It’s a showplace of art, design, and the magic of Italian creativity.
