This is a wonderful etching of a panoramic view of PARIS in the 18th century, before the Eiffel tower was built! It is one of my favorite pieces and will be an asset to any home. This unique hand engraved etching on French water color paper, was printed in Florence, Italy in the year 2000. The engraved print was divided into 4 sections and then laid onto Italian linen to create an authentic Old World look. This Paris scene shows a city of unique landmarks such as the Arc de Triomphe, S. Marcel, S Genevieve, S. Laurentii, etc. Colors are muted in soft robin egg blue, ochre tones, blacks, gold and a touch of red on the soldiers on horse back and carriage.
