Ref No: UKF0099 This fabric comes from a used silk Japanese kimono which I have unpicked for recycling purposes. It is available in various lengths. Details: Fabric: Silk mix - Light to medium weight. Colour: Cream background, with purple, pink, green, yellow and white. Condition: Used - Very good condition for a used fabric. Please note this is silk and synthetic mix. The 150 cm piece has two marks near one end - please see photos. Technique : Dyed. Design: Floral garden with decorative fences. Age: Unknown. Unlike western clothes which require lots of pattern pieces and styles, kimono are constructed much more simply and only the collar requires cutting out all other pieces are just cut to length and sewn together. Please check you are happy with the width before you purchase. - Please remember this is a used silk kimono fabric so you may find fold lines slight blemishes or small pin holes which are to be expected with used fabrics, I have tried to use the best pieces for you. Tip: for fold lines that show and do not iron out I use a decorative trim or embroidery stitch to cover it, this can be a machine or hand stitch, this way you can use all the fabric and don't have to cut around fold lines or blemishes. - As this fabric is silk please do not wash or steam iron as this will leave water marks on the fabric and may shrink it. Seek advice from professional dry cleaners.
