Painted on a 16 by 20 Grumbacher Plyex canvas foundation board no. 634-15 which was last sold in stores in the 1960s. Someone cut off the corners to fit this glassless frame. There is some paint loss or damage just below the top rose. I am not an expert so I would guess you can find other similar damage.
