Silk charmeuse is layered with botanicals, rolled and wrapped and steamed gently for hours in my Sydney home studio to slowly infuse the fibres with the natural pigments and delicate imprints found in each piece. Sleeping on silk not only feels luxurious, but also also helps to maintain healthy hair and skin. Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and its protein fibre structure helps keep skin and hair hydrated (no more frizz!), making it an essential in cool, dry climates. Each pillowcase is sustainably handmade and one of a kind, making it a unique and thoughtful gift. Dyed with: Eucalypt - mixed foraged and reclaimed eucalyptus Expect leafy prints in rich, warm, earthy tones of gold, oilve, brown, burnt orange and purplish navy. Casuarina - foraged and reclaimed casuarina Rhythmic swoops and curves in classy and elegant greys, blacks & dark purplish blues. Rose - reclaimed rose petals & leaves and cochineal Dreamy, bokeh-like prints of rose petals and leaves on a base of lavender grey with occasional pops of pink, green & brown. Approx. 50 x 75cm Only non-toxic metal salts and natural pigments are used in my dyeing process, so the end product is not only kinder to the environment compared to conventional dyeing methods, but also safer and gentler on your skin. Each leaf and petal I use is also sourced conscientiously - I grow what I can in my are either grown in my home garden, gather mindfully in Sydney suburbs or collect kitchen and floral waste from local businesses. Each item is handmade and one of a kind, so your pillowcase will be entirely unique and different from the one pictured.
