Vincent van Gogh, "De brug in de regen (naar Hiroshige)."  in the Van Gogh Museum.  In this painting, van Gogh was working closely with a Japanese print he found beautiful.  The border is entirely falsified--shapes and symbols he thought looked Japanese.  Japonisme, European art that attempted to copy the influx of art coming from Japan, was very popular during van Gogh's period.
