Afternoon Tea that great British tradition still lives on in the jolly historic houses of merry olde England. A Cream Tea - consists of scones, clotted cream, lemon curd and tea. High Tea - is an evening meal served around 6 p.m. and consists of meat and potatoes as well as other foods and tea. It was adopted by the working class and it is also called supper. Families with servants often took high tea on Sundays to allow the maids and butlers to go to church.
