Edmund Veesenmayer was a top Nazi who played an important role in the persecution and murder of Croatian and Serbian Jews. On March 19, 1944 he became Reich plenipotentiary in Hungary after the German occupation. After the war he was sentenced to 20 years but he was released in Dec 1951. It was estimated that he served exactly 6 minutes for each murder that he was responsible for. Veesenmayer died of heart failure in 1977.
