Found this pinned as a post-mortem girl with doll, but I she was, obviously, very much alive. If there is a posting stand behind her, it was merely used to help her hold the pose and keep still during the long exposure time that was required back then.

This is also back when they dressed little boys as girls. I would have figured little gramps there was a girl if I didn't already know better (he's left/front). This must have been a favorite place to get photos taken, since I've seen that same elaborate chair in quite a few other shots.
