Our series of MagPi Essentials books continues with this guide to programming in Scratch. This freely-available visual programming language from MIT is particularly good for children getting to grips with starting programming, and our book is written with the younger reader in mind.
S4A is a Scratch modification that allows for simple programming of the Arduino open source hardware platform. It provides new blocks for managing sensors and actuators connected to Arduino. There is also a sensors report board similar to the PicoBoard one.
