John Wayne, Harry Cary Jr and Pedro Armendáriz in John Ford's "3 Godfathers". A wonderful film, more heartwarming than "shoot 'em up", with strong undertones of the Gospel's telling of the birth of Christ. One could almost classify this film as a Christmas movie. Pedro Armendáriz was amazing. Ford brought him along for Fort Apache, a year later, where he was terrific yet again.
Billie Holiday (born Eleanora Fagan; April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959) was an American jazz singer and songwriter. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and musical partner Lester Young, Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing. Her vocal style, strongly inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo.
