Gabriel Kuri is a well-known material archivist that has put a contemporary spin on how consumerism is viewed. By collecting valuable items that represent our daily lives, we are able to see the relationship between the importance of products, that we may or may not need, and us. Kuri fulfills his view by gathering materials related to consumption such as receipts and creates sculptures and collages based off of them to visually demonstrate how consumerism is everywhere.
