Mahonia × media 'Charity'. 'Charity' is an upright evergreen shrub to 4m tall, with pinnate leaves composed of up to 21 lance-shaped leaflets, and small, cup-shaped yellow flowers borne in erect, clustered terminal racemes to 35cm long in late autumn and winter. Good for a woodland setting in a sheltered or exposed situation with full sun or partial shade in moist but well drained soil.

Cultivation of this species is easy. Pot 2/3 of the bulbs exposed above a well drained soil mix.Give the plants sunlight and never full sun. During the summer growing season, give the plants plenty of water and occasional fertilizer.
