Queen Elizabeth I’s long-lost skirt to go on display after being found on a church altar in Herefordshire
A piece of fabric described as the Holy Grail of fashion history will become one of the star attractions at Hampton Court Palace after it was identified as the only surviving piece of clothing worn by Elizabeth I.
In my geography book, there was a picture of Peruvian women making hay. They were all wearing similar, absolutely beautiful circle skirts that caught my eye. It turns out they were Peruvian traditional costumes, or at least inspired by them. I so need one (or more) of those! It's perfect: full-circle and a nice heavy fabric you don't find anywhere these days. And yep, I read over a hundred pages of geography today and what do I remember: a skirt.
