Meditation is about quieting your mind. It’s usually done by focusing on a single thing, whether it’s an image, a word, a feeling, or your own breathing. While doing this, you leave your mind open to thoughts or feelings that float in, without reacting or judging. In our always-on, multitasking culture, that’s a rare and valuable thing.
