Boston Light, MA - The original version, built in 1716, was actually the first lighthouse in the United States. It was a pivotal British stronghold during the American Revolution and was burned down twice by the revolutionaries. The current incarnation dates to 1783. It is the only lighthouse in the US that is still staffed by the US Coast Guard.
