The crew of 28 were found frozen in their quarters, and the captain upright at his table, his wife, a seaman, and a small boy nearby. The ship’s log showed that it left London on Sept. 10, 1761, bound for China by way of Cape Horn. The last log entry was dated Nov. 11, 1762 , and put the ship in the Arctic Ocean north of Point Barrow, Alaska.
