Home cooks often wonder about time savers, like can I make a double batch of this recipe and freeze half of it? The answer is that some foods freeze better than others. Lasagna, pasta sauces, jams, cookies and bars, soups, stews, and chilis all freeze well.
I was practically raised on hearty slow cooked meals, so recipes like; goulash, stews, soups, curries and tagines, all hold a warm place in my heart. Plus there is something about warming wholesome meals that just makes them so much more satisfying than say a salad. Creamy Crockpot Chicken with brown rice. (Taken with Instagram) 1 can Campell’s Cream of Mushroom1 can water28.8 oz chicken breasts2 tsp oregano1 tbsp garlic2 tsp thyme1 tsp pepper (less if you don’t like pepper) Mix the soup, water and seasonings in the crock pot and wisk until the soup is blended. Add the chicken and submerge. Cook on low heat for 4 hours (approx).
