Autumn is a good time for gathering. Winter is not one of my favorite seasons and I often find myself gathering up inspiration and beauty and wonder in the fall for the cooler darker months ahead. I want to get outside admire the colors and collect little treasures as much as possible before the cold chases me inside and under blankets. Watching the flowers die away isn't my favorite part of this time of year but there is beauty even as they surrender themselves to the next generation.
