"Pink and Blue - The Cahen d'Anvers Girls" (P-A Renoir, 1881). In the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil. The two girls (Alice on the left, Elisabeth on the right) were daughters of the Paris banker Louis Raphael Cahen d'Anvers. Alice, born 1876, died in Nice in 1965. Elisabeth (born 1874), had a more tragic fate: she was transported to Auschwitz, and died en-route, in March 1944.
