The Longest Truck in the World... a road train is a trucking concept used in remote areas of Argentina, Australia, Mexico, the US & Canada to move freight efficiently. Instead of pulling one trailer, a road train pulls two or more of them. On 2/18/06 a Mack truck with 112 semi-trailers, 1,300 tons & 4,836 ft long, pulled the load 328 feet to a new record for a single mover. It was in Clifton, Queensland, that 70-year-old John Atkinson claimed a record, pulled by a tri-drive Mack Titan.-SR
