So I’m not going to lie here.. Finding time in the studio is getting real difficult, trying to find the balance between making art and being a mum is not easy! I know it’s not forever, and we’re right in the thick of it, and I really love it, but it’s hard! Sending strength to everyone else struggling at the moment - we got this! (Any tips are very welcome 🤣)
The making of my largest sewn piece to date titled ‘What a day’ from my current collection: Within the Trees. Working on this scale was a small challenge but I feel so happy with the way this piece turned out! #withinthetrees #demioverton #embroideryonpaper #green #abstractlandscape #artistsoninstagram #britishartist #instaart #artoftheday #artistreels #artistprocess #watercolor #artforyourhome #artonpaper #inspiredbynature
Meet Swiss artist, Simon Berger.
Simon Berger, a Swiss artist, is renowned for his unique approach to creating art by deliberately breaking glass to form detailed portraits. Using a hammer, he carefully strikes laminated glass, controlling the impact to create precise cracks that form intricate facial features. This meticulous process combines both destruction and creation, showcasing the balance between fragility and strength. In his own words, Berger explains that each piece of glass he fractures reflects life’s imperfections and breakages. He sees beauty in the “broken,” emphasizing how these cracks can transform into something meaningful and captivating. Through his work, he invites his audience to embrace life’s fragility, both in person and through digital platforms, as a source of strength and inspiration.
