Corky’s Restaurant & Bar is located at 5043 Van Nuys Boulevard, on the corner of Hesby Street, in Sherman OaksBuilt in 1958The restaurant was originally Stanley Burke's Coffee Shop but Corky’s took it over in the early 1960s. Singer Billy Joel once named Corky's as a spot he played, in the piano bar in the 1970s. Corky’s remained for 25 years but then became The Lamplighter until 2010. In 2011 the restaurant was restored and Corky’s returned, bringing back their 1960s style diner.
