And if you're really frisky, mix in some red pepper flakes to take it up a notch. (Add peppers after you open the jars, DO NOT add prior to canning, it will throw off the p.h. and may be unsafe.) Cooking time does not include time for water to boil in canner. Prep and cooking times are estimates.
