Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and Kaufman Garden

On our first day of spring break, we decided to visit the Nelson Atkins Museum. We have been there multiple times, but it has been a few years since our last visit. I love seeing both the new and established art displays at the museum. We started out outside in the sculpture garden.

Signed lower left 'Nura' for Nura Woodson Ulreich (American, 1899–1950). Additionally signed, verso, dated March 1928 with artist's New York City address and titled, 'When Guest Stay'. Framed dimensions: 24 x 20 x 1.5 inches. This early twentieth-century painter, lithographer, muralist, author, poet and illustrator first studied at the Kansas City Art Institute before attending the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and New York's Art Students League.
