Zack Dettmore on Instagram: "For heavy doors, it’s generally better to position three hinges with two of them placed closer to the top. This configuration offers better support because: Weight Distribution: The majority of a heavy door's weight pulls down towards the top hinge. Reinforcing the upper section prevents sagging and reduces the risk of the door dragging over time. Structural Integrity: By placing two hinges near the top, you reduce stress on the topmost hinge, which usually bears the brunt of the door’s weight. Recommended Spacing for Heavy Doors: Top hinge: 5-7 inches from the top of the door. Middle hinge: About 8-12 inches below the top hinge. Bottom hinge: 10-12 inches from the bottom of the door" Wood Door Hinges, Door Hinges Ideas, Builder Brigade, Types Of Hinges, Hidden Door Hinges, Invisible Hinges, Building Remodeling, Colorado House, New House Living Room
