Feldkirch, Austria. This little town near the Swiss/Liechtenstein boarder has been home to many weeks of my masterclasses at the local State Conservatorium of Vorarlberg. It is also the home of my Mandelbrot Duo cellist Penelope Gunter-Thalhammer (who is also my big sister!) and many many hours have been spent wandering the town between rehearsals.

During my most recent visit to Vorarlberg, I was able to visit several towns in the region, some for longer than others and thereby warranting longer articles. I did not get as much time in Feldkirch and Dornbirn. However short the time was, it was no less sweet. And that's why I wanted to make sure I gave them their moment in the proverbial spotlight as well.
