Queen Mother and Princess Margaret, September 1951.........IS PRINCESS MARGARET ROSE EYEING THAT TIARA ON HER GRANDMOTHER ??...................ccp

For the 1953 coronation, H.R.H. Princess Margaret donned a white satin Norman Hartnell dress with an openwork design of broderie anglaise. According to the Royal Collection, the dress was embroidered in crystal with a design of stylized marguerites and roses, in reference to her name Margaret Rose. The sleeves were later removed, so that the dress could be used for other events. She also wore the "Halo Scroll" Tiara and Diamond Rose Brooch (made by Cartier in 1936 and 1938, respectively).
