Yes ma'am - the Jamaican patty. Comes in a few varieties - spiced meat, chicken, lamb, vegetarian - wrapped in a flaky yellow pastry. A West Indian staple available in many Caribbean islands and around the world.
Made this but w/out cayenne, I used scotch bonnet instead. and frozen veggies to avoid waste. and jerk seasoning from grace cause im authentic. The mix and dough separate mean nothing till combined, I don't have to worry about not getting enough fat this month!! (try Jamaican curry powder instead of just turmeric for pastry if you get the chance.)
