Researchers Discover Monstrous Supermassive Black Holes
A monster black hole that appears to be the most massive found to date, (2011) as massive as 21 billion suns. This is one of two black holes found in elliptical galaxies some 300 million light years away — both believed to be the biggest yet. A black hole occurs when gravity causes an object to collapse under its own weight to a point, creating an object that is fantastically small, yet tremendously dense. .
