I have students that completely stop, and even put down their violins, every time they make a mistake. I always say, “Don’t stop! Keep going! It stands out more if you make a big production over every single little mistake!” As musicians, I don’t think we can ever practice enough to NEVER make a mistake or never play out of tune.
